Finding your tyre size

It’s moulded into the side of the tyre. Look for a run of numbers like this one:

  1. Look at the outside wall of the flat tyre — the numbers are raised in the rubber.
  2. Find the group that reads three digits, a slash, two digits, then R and two more. Ignore everything else written on there.
  3. Put them into the three boxes in that order.

Who we are

A tyre family since 1990

Dean’s dad started a mobile tyre service in 1990, and Dean was on the van at weekends from his teens. Since then: national chains, independent garages, management, and back on the tools.

He set up Tyre Emergency in December 2023 to do one thing properly — get to people stuck with a bad tyre, quickly, and give them a straight price.

How quickly can you get to me?

On an urgent job, 60 minutes or less. You get a proper time when you ring or put your reg in, and if we can't get to you quick enough we'll say so.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the tyre, where you are and how urgent it is. The tyre price includes fitting, valve, balancing and disposal. Urgent jobs have a call-out on top. Booked-in jobs just pay a bit for travel. You see the full price before you say yes. For a rough idea, the average across 3,000+ jobs has been about £177 all in.

Will you have my tyre size?

Nearly always. Common sizes are on the van. Anything else we pick up on the way. If it needs ordering in, we'll tell you and give you a time.

Are you really 24/7?

Yes. Nights, weekends, bank holidays. A person answers the phone.

Do I pay anything up front?

If you book online, you pay by card when you book and that's it. If you ring for an urgent job, we check the tyre and the van, then text you a card link to confirm. Nothing's charged until you've confirmed.
